Ruby Swaid

Ruby works with individuals above the age of 17 years, in person or over Telehealth. She  extensive experience working with individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, one of my key strengths is the provision of culturally-sensitive therapy. She is an LGBTQI+ aware and affirmative clinician, a multi-lingual therapist,  fluent and can provide therapy in English and Arabic.

She supports people who present with the following: Trauma (PTSD and cPTSD), Anxiety and Depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, Self-Esteem issues, Stress and Burnout, Adjustment to major life transitions, Grief and Loss  Ruby has over 5 years of experience working in private practice, community mental health and private hospital settings. She focuses on practicing using a collaborative, person-centered approach, to support clients achieve their goals in therapy and improve their psychological well being.  She adopts a curious, open-minded approach to therapy, that is compassion focused and non-judgmental. Without a strong therapeutic alliance between the individual and therapist, no therapy can take place. It is important that individuals feel safe and able to talk about their concerns without fear of judgment. It takes incredible resilience to ask for help.
