Jane Mackenzie

Jane (She/her) is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with over 30 years of experience, bringing a wealth of knowledge from her work across public health, rural settings, hospitals, universities, clinical supervision, and private practice. She is passionate about supporting children and families holistically and compassionately. Her approach is Trauma-informed and Neurodiversity-affirming.

Jane provides general speech, language, fluency and literacy services for children aged 0-12 years.

She has a special interest in

- Early Communication development for babies, toddlers, preschoolers.
- Infant Mental Health, social-emotional development, attachment and play
- Video-based reflection to support everyday interactions between caregivers and children/infants.
- Supporting reading and spelling skills for school-age children (5-12yrs) through targeted intervention, including systematic synthetic phonics instruction, decodable readers, and phonemic and phonological awareness training.
- Social Communication: supporting children in navigating social interactions in ways that are authentic and meaningful to them
